What to Know about the Job The Alliance is seeking an Application Developer and Support Specialist responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of internally developed applications. How You Will Contribute Application Support: Work directly with end-users to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to internally developed applications. SQL Server Management: Query databases, perform basic table changes, and manage SQL scripts for troubleshooting and enhancements. Development & Maintenance: Develop, maintain, and modify applications primarily using C# and VB. Net, adhering to best practices in coding standards and security protocols. Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with the software development team and other internal departments to ensure application reliability and effective issue resolution. Testing & Debugging: Conduct thorough testing and debugging of new and existing features to ensure applications are functioning optimally. Your Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology; or at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in SQL query databases, performing basic table changes, and managing scripts. Experience with developing, maintaining, and modifying applications primarily using C# and VB.Net, adhering to best practices in coding standards and security protocols. Strong attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Skilled at solving practical problems and handling various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Proficient in interpreting instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Effective in presenting information and responding to questions from managers, clients, and customers. Stand-Out From the Crowd Qualifications Relevant IT certifications Experience with version control systems such as Git. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
