SUMMARY:

The Armstrong Company is seeking an application developer to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong understanding and experience with multiple languages, multiple databases, processing data files (XML/JSON), Shell Scripting, both Linux & Windows, and using APIs. The initial need will be with C# and ASP.Net. Equally important to this individual’s skillset is the ability to think outside the box, solve problems, and provide impeccable customer service; as well as have great communication skills, have empathy for others, and possess great patience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand how to test and troubleshoot existing codebases.
• Ability to create new projects and start coding from scratch.
• Provides contribution and oversight in the design and development of integration solutions and solution prototyping.
• Delivers solutions that utilize best practices and sound engineering principals.
• Works with others to define functional and interface specifications, design integration architecture, prototyping, implementing and testing integration solutions.
• Must have a master skill level with regards to searching for solutions to figure out.

MINIMUM SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of integration patterns, methods and technologies e.g. APIs (REST, SOAP etc.), ETL.
• Experience working with data files including flat files (XML, JSON) and XML definition files (XSD, WSDL)
• Experience with CRM platforms (Oracle NetSuite or Salesforce)
• Working with Cloud database technologies (Azure Functions)
• Critical thinking abilities to take complex, ambiguous, abstract requirements and break them into smaller components, patterns, views and features
• Ability to communicate technical and data concepts to non-technical audiences, and business concepts to technical audiences
• Ability to function within a team environment, which includes collaborating daily with team members and other colleagues in a thoughtful and respectful manner
• Proven experience working with enterprise integration systems
• Experience designing and implementing cross region, multi-cloud integrations
• A clear focus on finding the simplest solution providing the greatest impact
• Experience working in both Linux and Windows systems
