MasterSearch are currently working with a world leading provider of Automation and advanced packaging equipment across the Global Semiconductor manufacturing industry with a focus at Wafer handling level.

Our client is looking for an experienced technical, self-driven and Collaborative Application Engineer to be responsible for Application support for vital customers in Germany and occasionally Europe.

Location – Home office across Europe

Reporting line – Director of Applications

Main Responsibilities;

• Becoming an expert with our products use cases, e.g. vacuum robots and wafer handling systems, atmospheric Wafer handling systems, underline motion controls and software
• To provide pre-sales Technical Support to customers and account teams
• Working independently and as a team member to quickly respond to customer needs
• Answering questions from OEM customers about all aspects of the products
• Building and maintaining relationships with the customer; gaining the trust of our customers to build the technical interfaces
• Understanding customer applications and markets
• Preparing detailed product specifications to define solutions to meet customers high value applications
• Working with the sales and marketing teams to identify, assess and prioritise potential customers and applications of our products
• Communicating customer needs and wishes to all marketing and product engineering teams
• Supporting customer visits, attending, and presenting at tradeshows and seminars
• Developing and delivering demonstrations to win the new opportunities

Profile;

• Bachelors degree in engineering
• Good experience with high-tech equipment. Ideally from the Semiconductor industry but others will be considered.
• Strong experience in a customer facing role
• Understanding of electronic components such as sensors, switches, realise, actuators, etc.
• Helpful, patient and possesses the ability to relate to many types of people
• Ability to work through problems systematically and document the findings
• Strong commitment to company goals and team first attitude
• Ability to travel mainly across Germany (maximum of 40%) as well as the occasional trip to other parts of Europe and to the USA
