As an AWS Product Developer on the Traction Complete team, you will be responsible for customizing, developing and supporting the Traction Complete product as it grows into an end-to-end Go-To-Market automation suite on the Salesforce Platform. You will help push our technical success to new heights by driving technical culture, defining standards and mentoring other developers – ensuring they grow into technical leaders too someday. What You Will Be Doing Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable code in: The Salesforce Platform and its various development tools and frameworks Amazon AWS using various technologies and programming languages and frameworks Leading from the front by defining new and improved processes Oversee proposed solutions to problems and ensure the implemented software will meet business objectives well into the future Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems Help maintain code quality, organization and automatization Troubleshoot and resolve bugs in customer environments Design and develop features for our web and backend functionality Participate in code reviews and design sessions with product and development teams Skills Tractionites come from a variety of backgrounds, and we are eager to find people that are from non-traditional backgrounds. Typically, we find that people are successful in this role when they have: Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience 5+ years professional experience in object oriented programming on a product 5+ years of AWS development experience AWS Developer certification is ideal Experience developing fault-tolerant and resilient applications using AWS services, preferably with event-driven serverless architectures Java, Python, AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, AWS SAM, AWS CloudFormation Knowledge of data storage for application development, familiarity in both relational and non-relational databases MySQL, PostgreSQL, Amazon S3, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora Ability to secure applications using industry best practices, familiarity with OWASP is a plus OAuth, OIDC, JWT, Amazon IAM, AWS KMS Experience with AWS Devops and “infrastructure as code” best practices CDK, terraform or Pulumi equivalent Experience as a technical leader on a development team Web development experience using component based javascript frameworks such as React, NodeJS, or any other framework like Salesforce Lightning Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications Excellent communication skills and experience working in a highly collaborative development team Strong knowledge of relational databases Highly motivated with the ability to work and make decisions independently Knowledge and experience with working on the Salesforce platform is considered an asset, but not required Lightning Web Components, Apex, Triggers SOQL and SOSL Managed Packages and SFDX Note: Salesforce ISV experience not required – if you have strong fundamental product developer experience in other industries and would be eager to lean into something new, we’ll be happy to teach you the platform specifics. Compensation Our market data is refreshed on an annual basis to reflect the most current market conditions.The starting salary band for this role is $100,000 - 120,000 CAD. Starting salaries will vary within this range based on experience, skill level, and internal equity related to the role.
