About the role We are seeking a skilled API Developer with expertise in Java Spring Boot and experience in deploying applications on Azure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust RESTful APIs that integrate with various services. The Azure API Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements. This role is critical to ensure high availability, data consistency, and optimal performance for mission-critical applications. What you'll do Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java Spring Boot, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security. Deploy and manage applications on Microsoft Azure, utilizing Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and Azure API Management. Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to integrate APIs with various front-end applications and third-party services. Write unit and integration tests for APIs and create clear, comprehensive documentation for API usage and deployment processes. Monitor and optimize API performance, implementing caching strategies and analyzing logs to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code changes and collaborate effectively with team members. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in API development and cloud technologies, and recommend improvements to existing processes. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in API development using Java Spring Boot. Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cosmos DB). Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach to development. Ability to work in an Agile environment and adapt to changing priorities. Hands-on experience with deploying applications on Microsoft Azure. Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API design principles. Familiarity with cloud services, particularly Azure, including Azure App Service and Azure API Management. Knowledge of API security best practices (e.g., OAuth2, JWT).
