Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This role revolves around improving and optimizing both the software development processes, the management of operational systems and boosting our platforms overall quality and reliability. You have a passion for automation, are adept at scripting in diverse technologies, and are motivated by the early detection and prevention of issues and potential security threats. Candidates should have 4 years or more experience with Azure DevOps technologies to be successful. Ideal candidates are committed to continuous learning and improvement, aiming to transform new knowledge into practical solutions for business challenges. This is a remote position within the Eastern, Atlantic or Newfound Land time zones, (GMT –5 to GMT –4). Occasional travel (up to 2 to 3 times per year) to our Montreal office is required for this role. Role and Responsibilities: Develop, manage, and enhance cutting-edge, cloud-native CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. Collaborate on the development of strategies, policies, standards, and procedures for build, configuration, packaging, and deployment management. Write and maintain the necessary scripts for automation. Design deployment pipelines that integrate business and technical approvals, audit tracking, code repository tagging, static code analysis, and automated release notes. Incorporate ITIL best practices and collaborate in the creation of a CMDB and CAB in releasing software. Comply with security objectives to ensure data availability, integrity, and confidentiality. Collaborate with technical cross-functional teams and various business units to understand requirements and provide DevOps expertise in launching new products. Work closely with the IT Operations team to continuously monitor and enhance infrastructure and processes, thereby increasing platform security, efficiency, and reliability. Collaborate in Continuous monitoring, testing, and assessment of the security posture of applications to identify and respond to threats in real time. Collaborate in the creation of an engineering culture. Other duties as assigned. Experience Minimum 7 Years’s experience in DevOps engineering with a focus on Azure DevOps for at least 4 years. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar is ideal, as well as AZ-400 (Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) certification. Preference will be given to candidates with CISSP and ITIL 4 Foundation or higher Certifications. Working knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., OSFI, NIST, CIS, ISO 27001). Must have experience with centralized logging and tools such as Splunk, Sumologic and Sentinel. Must have experience working in JIRA / Confluence Demonstrated experience integrating Azure DevOps and JIRA. Demonstrated experience with scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell for automation. Must have experience establishing CI / CD pipelines from the ground up with Azure DevOps. Must have experience with static code analysis tools such as SonarQube, CodeQL, Black Duck or Veracode. Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining and integrating with Azure DevOps automation functional tests using Selenium, postman for web applications, APIs and mobile applications. Demonstrated experience integrating unit testing automation into CI / CD pipelines. Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies. Nice to have working experience in a SAFe, Kanban, or Scrum development methodology. Nice to have working experience as a junior developer on the Microsoft stack in Azure. Ability to take ownership of projects with minimal supervision, leveraging strong problem-solving skills to drive successful outcomes. Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret business requirements and produce functional and technical design documents. Excellent time management, accountability and quick learner to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking / handling multiple efforts at once. Excellent written and verbal communication skills ( English ) in working with different stakeholders across the company, including non-technical roles. Must have working experience in a FinTech, payments, finance or banking organizations.
