Job Title: Kotlin Developer (Fully Remote, Germany)


About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Kotlin Developer to join our fully remote team. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining our core fintech platform, contributing to the design and implementation of new features, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of our systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code using Kotlin.
  • Contribute to the architecture and design of our backend systems.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver new features and improvements.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development processes.
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, and provide support for production systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Kotlin development and the Fintech industry.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.


Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
  • Extensive experience with Kotlin and related frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Ktor).
  • Solid understanding and practical experience in Microservices environments.
  • Experience with database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL databases).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito).
  • Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Experience working with remote based teams.
  • Fluency in English (German language skills are a plus).


Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Fintech or financial services.
  • Contributions to open-source projects.
  • Knowledge of other JVM languages (e.g., Java, Groovy).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
