What You Will Do: As a Back-end Software Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining the core infrastructure of our AI tutor platform. You will collaborate with frontend developers and other team members to ensure the backend is scalable, secure, and optimized for performance. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain the backend of scalable web applications and services for the AI tutor platform. Build and manage scalable RESTful APIs. Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend services. Optimize backend processes to handle large data payloads and ensure high performance. Debug and troubleshoot backend issues, ensuring stability and performance of the server-side logic. Set up and manage cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS or GCP) to host and scale backend services. Required Skills & Experience: Strong proficiency with back-end development using Python, Node.js, or similar technologies. Solid understanding of MySQL (or other relational databases) for designing and managing structured data. Experience with building and maintaining RESTful APIs. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP for deploying and managing applications. Experience with Docker for containerization and Nginx for load balancing or web server management. Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively with front-end developers, designers, and stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in an agile environment, contributing to fast-paced development cycles and updates. Passion for education technology and AI-driven solutions. Nice-to-Have: Demonstrated experience in integrating AI and machine learning technologies into web-based platforms, enhancing user experience and system capabilities. Proficiency in utilizing Git for version control, alongside implementing continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline development workflows. Familiarity with Docker for efficient containerization, and expertise in managing web servers using Nginx to ensure robust and scalable web infrastructure.
