Your initial responsibilities are: Collaborate with software engineers to design and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable production systems. Ensure high availability, performance, and security of infrastructure, including servers, databases, and networks. Automate infrastructure provisioning and scaling using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Kubernetes. Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable RESTful APIs Implement best practices for testing, deployment, and rollback processes. Lead by example in coding, problem-solving, and debugging production issues. What we’re looking for To be a good fit on our team of talented developers, we’re looking for certain qualifications: 5+ years of experience in production engineering, backend development, or a related field. Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and associated services (e.g., EC2, RDS, IAM, VPC). Strong knowledge of Docker and experience with container orchestration tools Expertise in relational database management, including replication, backups, and optimization. Hands-on experience with Node.js in production environments, with knowledge of best practices for performance and security. Familiarity with network security principles, configuring and managing WAF. Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments. What we offer The salary range for this position is 100-120k based on experience. Familiarize with Node.js applications and current deployment practices. Assess current security measures, including WAF configurations. 3 Months: Contribution and Optimization Implement improvements in CI/CD processes and automate routine tasks. Optimize MySQL databases and Kubernetes clusters for performance. Start leading incident response efforts and refine monitoring systems. Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployments. 6 Months: Leadership and Strategic Planning Lead large-scale projects, such as infrastructure scaling, cloud cost optimization or refactoring application components. Mentor other engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Develop long-term strategies for infrastructure growth and security enhancements.
