Roles and Responsibilities
Commission products and solutions across a variety of subjects such as English Language and Humanities (but not limited to) as required.
Achieve commissioning targets set in the publishing programme.
Gather up-to-date information about developments in education and publishing.
Plan and conduct market research to gather feedback on existing products as well as to identify markets for new products.
Develop business cases (including budgets, projected sales and revenue) and proposals for new products and present them for approval.
Lead contract negotiation and commission (identify, develop, and manage) authors.
Evaluate manuscripts.
Lead projects and team to ensure adherence to initial concept, quality standards, budgets and successfully delivery proposed publications and solution on time.
Manage and ensure standards of development editing so as to deliver products that are competitive, and appealing to the market.
Ensure implementation of set processes for development editing.
Collaborate with the Marketing and Sales team for the promotion of products.
Requirements
