Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Programmer to join our team on a part-time, contractual basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong computer science background, programming experience, and familiarity with various programming languages and frameworks. This role is integral to our ongoing project with the FAA, which aims to enhance the National Airspace System's (NAS) performance and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Write, modify, and test code and scripts across various programming languages and environments.
Develop and implement solutions using SharePoint, C, C++, Python, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, UML, SysML, and other relevant languages. Mostly front-end Web development
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and migration of systems within the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
Utilize DevSecOps, Data Architecture, Logical Models, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to support the project's objectives.
Create and maintain data visualizations and UI/UX designs using tools like Tableau.
Support developing and implementing Digital Engineering environments, Digital Twins, and AI-associated technologies.
Conduct best practices analysis and provide recommendations for integrated systems engineering in complex environments.
Develop and present communication plans, white papers, and technical documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in software development and programming
Proven experience with SharePoint, C, C++, Python, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, UML, SysML, and other programming languages
Strong understanding of DevSecOps, Data Architecture, MBSE, Business Process Modeling, and Digital Engineering environments
Familiarity with DoDAF and UAF frameworks, including experience in migration projects
Proficiency in Tableau and UI/UX design principles
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly
Successfully meeting the background check and/or fingerprinting
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with FAA or other government agencies
Knowledge of FAA's NAS systems and performance requirements
Certifications such as Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) or any related computer programming certifications
