Job Description :

We are seeking a

Senior Web Applications Developer

to join our dedicated Software Applications Development Team, focusing on mission-critical software for State Agencies. The ideal candidate will play a key role in software application development and maintenance, utilizing advanced Java-based skills within an Agile DevOps environment.

Responsibilities :• Collaborate with Agile Development Teams to coordinate development requirements and participate in planning sessions.• Perform coding tasks on application screens and technical functions, ensuring adherence to defined requirements and security standards.• Lead the transition from Informix to PostgreSQL hosted on AWS, enhancing data processing capabilities.• Document development activities, provide time estimates, and maintain communication with stakeholders.• Assist in database maintenance and support, while cross-training in-house staff for long-term management.• Participate in technical reviews, recommend improvements, and keep abreast of emerging technologies.

Required Skills:• Proficiency in Java, Spring, Struts, Hibernate, HTML, and JavaScript.• Experience with SQL databases and database analysis software, particularly with Informix and PostgreSQL.• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development processes.• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex technical challenges and propose solutions.• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
