Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is working with a reputable organization in Tallahassee, FL for a Cybersecurity Manager role on a contract basis, for 12-18 months. The ideal candidate will sit in Tallahassee, FL, but will consider remote candidates elsewhere in the United States, as long as they are comfortable working East Coast hours. All candidates should be able to work in the United States on a W2 basis, as this role will not be able to provide sponsorship at this time. We are unable to consider Corp-to-Corp candidates at this time. Candidate will be responsible for: Identifying and implementing best practices for IT security standards Experience methods for IT audit and compliance to security standards Migration of non-compliant environments to compliant environments Experience conducting studies within the organization to ensure compliance with industry standards Planning and implementation of IT security standards across the organization Implementation of methodology to enhance security standards across the organization Other duties as assigned Candidate should have the following experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, MIS, or similar discipline 7+ years of experience in IT Security Experience with development of IT Security standards and best practices “Can do” attitude Ability to look outside organization for new methodology to increase security for organization Strategic thinker that can identify, remediate, and deploy security standards effectively across the organization Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong written and verbal communication skills
