About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data visualization to drive strategic decision-making and uncover valuable insights from complex datasets across our customer-facing business functions at Dayforce.
What you'll get to do
Acts as Data SME for assigned business function(s), partnering with assigned business function(s) to understand data requirements, definitions, sources and KPIs to enable reporting and analytics for that domain
Works collaboratively with the business to align business requirements with data and analytical solutions, while empowering business to draw insights and analyze data
Works with the business to intake, plan and prioritize enterprise data and integration requests
Collaborates with the Data Engineers and Integration Engineers to deliver the required data capability
Coordinates with Data Governance and Enablement team to ensure data quality, compliance and efficacy
Coaches and advises the business on data analytics and methodologies to drive insights into their business decisions
Develops data models, structuring data into star schemas
Develops KPI calculations using DAX or T-SQL
Creates data documentation such as business requirements document, process flow, field mapping, entity relationship diagram, calculation definitions, etc
Design and implement advanced analytical models, including machine learning algorithms and AI solutions, to solve complex business problems and automate decision-making processes.
Continuously enhance and optimize existing data models, analytics pipelines, and reporting frameworks to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in data analysis, AI/ML, and data visualization.

Solid experience in at least one reporting tool, preferably Power BI
Experience with enterprise business software (Salesforce and Netsuite preferred)
Experience with data platforms including Power BI, Azure/Synapse and SQL Server
Experience with Optimization and ML technologies, including forecasting, predictive analytics and statistical analysis
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a knack for translating complex data into actionable insights
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree a plus.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
Proven experience with applying AI and ML techniques for data analysis.
Expertise in Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
Strong SQL querying skills and experience with data wrangling tools.
Familiar with programing and data transformation in Python or R is a plus
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor presentations to a variety of audiences.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
