Container xChange is the leading online platform for container logistics and operations. We simplify the logistics of global trade, making the processes surrounding the container as simple as the container itself by providing a neutral infrastructure for all logistics companies.

Our team of 150+ like-minded xChangees from 60+ nationalities has made this possible! We have scaled far beyond the small start-up we once were and continue to disrupt the industry together.

This role can be based in Hamburg or remotely within +/- 2 hours of the Central European Timezone. The position is initially limited to 12 months.

About the role

As our Data & Analytics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines to ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable data processing. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to create impactful visualizations and insights that drive informed decision-making.

Your responsibilities in a nutshell

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines to ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable data ingestion, processing, and storage.
• Create and maintain data models and visualizations that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.
• Help define the next evolution of data objects and entities to support ongoing reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Requirements

What makes you a great fit

• 2-3 years of experience in a data platform or analytics team.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, and DBT.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and data pipelines.
• Knowledge of Python is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as as part of a team.
