The database developer & IT Team plays a vital role in our organization. They are responsible for storing vast quantities of data from many sources and responsible for disseminating data across the organizations to various groups. They are one of the backbones of data at our organization.
Responsibilities:
Managing master data warehouse, including creation, updates, triggers and deletion.
Primary development of reports and preliminary analysis, from multiple data sources.
Optimizing database/Datawarehouse performance by analyzing queries and applying improvements.
Primary development and maintenance of management dashboards.
First line quality assurance of imported data and reported data.
Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines.
Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
Providing technical input on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
Primary development of software-based automation processes for business improvement.
Managing dashboard users and user roles.
Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new systems.
Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems.
Training end users on new reports and dashboards.
Working directly with executive management team on all data/reporting and automation initiatives.
Working with operational users to understand data and uses.
Requirements:
6 years' work experience as a data analyst or data base administrator/developer in related field. Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
Strong Technical Skills: SQL Server and all associated SQL Server tasks, SQL, VBA, VB Script, SharePoint, Power BI, ODBC, SSIS
Experience in a manufacturing environment, print manufacturing ideal
Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks.
Is interpersonal savvy.
Demonstrates autonomy, is proactive.
Able to develop creative problem-solving solutions.
Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms.
Possess good organization skills
May be less experienced but willing to learn in: Automation RPA tools, SIMx TextConverter, Visual Studio.
