We have partnered with an IT Services and IT Consulting company in the Washington, D.C area to provide them with a DBA / Database Developer- Remote. Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested.

Prioritized Must Have Skills for the DBA / Database Developer:

#1. This position requires an ACTIVE SECRET security clearance

#2. Database Administration & Cloud Expertise: 2-5 years of experience in database administration, working with both Oracle and Postgres RDS, and managing cloud-based databases (preferably AWS RDS).

#3. Database Development & Optimization: Proficiency in database design and modeling (E-R diagrams, data normalization), SQL query optimization (query tuning, indexing), automation, and scripting.

#4. Security & Maintenance: Strong knowledge of database security (authentication/authorization, encryption, access control), backup/recovery, performance monitoring, and data migration/integration (ETL, data warehousing).

Requirements of the DBA / Database Developer:

Required skills:

• Ability to work with US Federal clients and possess an ACTIVE SECRET clearance
• Minimum 2-5 experience in Database administration
• Experience with both Oracle and Postgres RDS
• Experience with cloud-based databases (preferably AWS RDS)
• Experience with database automation and scripting
• Experience in database design and modeling (E-R diagrams, Data normalization)
• Experience in SQL and query optimization (Query tuning, Indexing, etc)
• Experience in Database security (authentication/authorization, encryption, access control, etc)
• Experience in Backup/Recovery, Performance Monitoring
• Experience in Data migration and integration (ETL, Data Warehousing)
