We are hiring a DevOps Engineer-Remote.

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining continuous integration & deployment (CI/CD) practices, ensuring seamless code changes across various environments. Additionally, the candidate will play a crucial role in configuration and management of our Cloud applications, collaboration and communication, monitoring and logging, security implementation, infrastructure provisioning, and capacity planning and scalability.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD).

  • Implement and maintain CI practices to automate code changes from multiple contributors.
  • Setup code scanning tool (SonarQube) to ensure early detection of code issues.
  • Establish automated CD pipelines to deploy code changes to (dev, qa, prod) environments seamlessly.

2. Configuration Management.

  • Configure various environments for dev, qa, uat and prod needs with assistance from our infrastructure team.
  • Manage and maintain configurations of our various environments (Azure, AWS, MongoDB, App Stores, SendGrid, Firebase, Microsoft Entra).
  • Define and manage infrastructure as code across different environments.

3. Collaboration and Communication.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between development; including partnered dev teams, operations, product engineering, infrastructure, customer care, and security.
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to development requirements, implement and address issues proactively.

4. Monitoring and Logging.

  • Implement monitoring solutions to track performance and health of our applications and infrastructure.
  • Set up logging mechanisms to capture and analyze system and application logs for troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Assist with incident management and off hour support.

5. Security

  • Collaborate with security team to implement security best practices throughout the development and deployment process.
  • Assist and lead plans discovered with pen testing.

6. Capacity Planning and Scalability.

  • Work on capacity planning to ensure that the infrastructure and applications can handle current and future workloads.
  • Implement solutions to accommodate growing user demands.

7. All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Experience

1. Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.

2. Hands-on experience with the tools and technologies mentioned above.

3. Service management software experience for ticket handling.

4. Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.

5. 6+ Year's Experience.

Technical Skills

1. Cloud Computing & Automation.

  • Experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure and AWS Cloud.
  • Proficiency in managing and deploying resources in a cloud environment.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages like Python or Powershell.

2. Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD).

  • Expertise in setup up and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with tools like GitLab CI, Azure DevOps.

3. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Monitoring.

  • Proficiency in using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Ability to define and manage infrastructure configurations as code.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, App Insight, Dynatrace, DataDog.
  • Experience with branching, merging, and resolving conflicts.
