DevOps Engineer (GCP)
Remote - US | Contract
Our Client is a mission-driven organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families through comprehensive autism care for children aged 2–6. By combining essential services under one roof, they simplify care for parents and enhance collaboration across care teams. This role is part of their Data, AI, and Automation team, which uses cutting-edge technology to optimize data architecture, algorithmic solutions, and analytics, amplifying the impact of human interactions in autism therapy.
It’s a long-term contract opportunity without an end-date. The engagement is fully remote. Candidates can be located anywhere in LatAm. You'll need to have good English communication skills (at least B2+ or higher) for this role.
Responsibilities
Data Architecture:
Build and maintain a secure and reliable data architecture in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Define and manage data schemas to establish a single source of truth.
Implement QA processes to ensure data fidelity.
Maximize Python usage for enhanced flexibility and maintainability.
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
Design and maintain cloud infrastructure and resources.
Use container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) for scalable application deployment.
ETL & Data Pipeline Management:
Build and maintain ETL workflows using tools like Cloud Run.
Implement automated QA and escalation protocols to ensure resilience and minimal downtime.
Version Control and CI/CD:
Manage code versioning with GitHub.
Develop CI/CD pipelines using Google Cloud Build.
Act as a steward of best practices in version control and CI/CD processes.
Data Security and Compliance:
Apply best practices for data security, compliance, and access control.
Collaborate with external consultants to uphold the highest data security standards.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud architecture, or related roles, ideally in a startup environment.
Proficiency in:
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
Containerization tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
Version control systems like GitHub and CI/CD processes.
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
Solid understanding of data security best practices.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new technologies.
