As part of the Application Development team, this position acts as the primary expert for automating and improving the Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC) and provides senior-level application/systems programming, administration, infrastructure management, and DevOps toolchain technical expertise. This position is responsible for strategic planning, new construction, and ongoing support of Application Development operation services such as cloud/on-prem platforms, release management, integrations, deployment, automation, development environments, and other related services using technologies primarily in the DevOps domain. This position participates in application and systems automation design, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) automation development, Application Programming Interface (API) and integration services automation, and DevOps related change management and strategy. This position is critical for modernizing agency information technology applications, enabling their maintainability, ensuring their security, improving their delivery speeds, and for minimizing the operating and enhancement costs associated with modern solutions. Knowledge of software security best practices and experience implementing security measures into software, automations, or services maintained. General knowledge of data processing techniques and technologies and automated data operational processes.
