DMAS - SAS Developer for Medicaid Care Management and Encounter Processing Solutions
1 year duration expected

ON SITE REQUIREMENT: The Mgr requires that the contractor be ON SITE 2 days a week at the DMAS office for the first month then there is some flexibility (re remote work) after that. The contractor MUST attend in person when required (no exceptions). We will not consider anyone that cannot meet this expectation.
Parking is NOT provided for contractors.
About the Role
The Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services has an immediate need for a Medicaid SAS developer with expertise in SAS Enterprise Guide, visual analytics and in the design of data conversion strategy, real-time analytics and reporting solutions for the Care Management (CRMS) and Encounter Processing (EPS) Solutions within the Medicaid Enterprise Solution (MES).
Responsibilities include:
Identifying data sources and data elements to meet business requirements
Creating and supporting automated data extracts and interface processes
Creating extract files, reports, analytics dashboards
Modifying existing processes to meet business requirements
Designing, developing and testing solutions that meet complex business requirements
Working with business users to understand requirements
Working independently and collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders at all levels of the
organization, external agencies, CMS, VITA and vendors
Working on multiple assignments concurrently and meet important target dates
