Job Title: E-commerce Systems Developer
Location: London (Hybrid)
Company: R44 Performance
About Us:
R44 Performance is a fast-growing, enthusiast-led automotive parts retailer specialising in performance and styling upgrades for European vehicles. With a global customer base and over 150 brands in our portfolio, we’re on a mission to build the most streamlined, customer-centric e-commerce platform in the automotive aftermarket industry.
We operate with a hands-on team, bringing in products from around the world, managing complex supplier relationships, running international campaigns, and hosting car culture events. Our systems power everything from local warehouse operations to international order routing and marketplace selling — and now, we’re ready to level up.
We’re looking for a sharp and proactive E-commerce Systems Developer to help us scale smarter, faster, and more efficiently.
Role Overview:
As our E-commerce Systems Developer, you’ll work closely with our Operations, Purchasing, Sales, and Marketing teams to build and improve the systems that power our multi-channel e-commerce business. From improving integrations between our ERP (OrderWise) and Shopify, to designing custom scripts for pricing automation or enhancing workflows for supplier and stock data, you’ll be the bridge between raw data, operational efficiency, and a better customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain customised multiple Shopify store themes and apps, ensuring seamless integration with third-party services and an optimised user experience.
• Design, build, and maintain custom scripts, APIs, FTPs and automation tools for Shopify, OrderWise, and third-party platforms (eBay, Amazon, Loox, etc.)
• Improve data structures for managing 10000+ SKUs across 150+ global brands.
• Streamline the purchasing process, helping to build a smarter system for container tracking, lead times, pricing models, and forecasting.
• Enhance customer-facing features on Shopify such as B2B experiences, US shipping/tax logic, pre-order messaging, and real-time stock syncing.
• Support our USA and worldwide expansion by enabling region-specific price, tax, and logistics systems.
• Collaborate on building internal dashboards and reporting tools to better manage performance, margin, and stock accuracy.
• Create and maintain documentation for custom-built tools and integrations.
What We’re Looking For:
Must-haves:
• Solid experience with Shopify (Liquid, APIs, FTPs, webhooks, metafields).
• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript/Node.js, or PHP).
• Experience integrating with ERPs or WMS platforms (OrderWise a major plus).
