Piper Companies is seeking a mid to senior-level EDI 837 Claims Developer to join a growing healthcare data management organization. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and is fully REMOTE (must be in either EST or CST).
Key Responsibilities for the EDI 837 Claims Developer:
Lead the development of 837 EDI claims processes, including corrections and error handling.
Manipulate and integrate data from varied sources/formats: flat files, relational/non-relational databases, XML, JSON, and more.
Provide technical guidance on EDI tools and recommend new applications for claims processing.
Collaborate with the dev team to integrate AI-powered data extraction tool and implement business rules around claims submission.
Ensure HIPAA compliance and optimize data flows from JSON outputs to the 837 format.
Qualifications of the EDI 837 Claims Developer:
The ideal candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in healthcare claims and EDI transactions, particularly the 837 format, and will be instrumental in helping the development team stand up a new claims project.
Strong expertise in healthcare claims, specifically with 837 EDI transactions.
Knowledge of and experience with common EDI tools such as BizTalk, Informatica, Sterling, and/or Edifecs
Ability to recommend/help implement new tools and solutions.
Experience with claims correction processes and clearinghouse submissions.
Ability to manipulate data across multiple formats and sources.
Compensation for the EDI 837 Claims Developer:
Hourly Rate: $55.00 - $62.00 per hour
Conversion salary: $120,000 - $130,000 annually
