Your Role and Your Team

• As an Electrical design engineer for the Systems testing team you will be working closely with our Systems Testing teams to create and support the design of industrial electrical wiring diagrams, 2D and 3D switch cabinet design, harness design and installation.

Your Day to Day

• Development, design, technical documentation and improvement implementation of industrial electrical switchgear for test benches up to 1KV according to IEC 61439, IEC 60204, MD 2006/42/EG, LVD 2014/35/EU etc.
• Creating missing documents for CE-marking such as risk assessment (DIN EN ISO 12100), user manuals, thermal reports, electrical calculations, selection of cables and devices, electrical bill of materials and system overvies.
• Manufacturing drawings for harnesses, electrical cabinets, mounting plates to be designed.
• Test Rig safety system design and modifications according to applicable standards such as EN ISO 13849-1 and -2.
• Create electrical wiring diagrams.
• Support in the design of Harness and Harness installation.
• Support of designing test instrumentation and data acquisition systems and installation.
• Manage the design data of your system in Teamcenter.

Your Profile

• Electrical or Mechatronics Industrial/Aerospace degree or equivalent.
• Min 3-4 years of experience in electrical wiring diagram and CAD systems is required.
• Experience in a Systems testing, R&D environment is required.
• In depth knowledge of common harmonized standards within the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EG and Low Voltage Directives 2014/35/EU.
• Knowledge of E-plan software is required.
• Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter is highly appreciated.
• Knowledge of Test Instrumentation design is highly appreciated.
• High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomously if required
• Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment is required
• Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial
