Embedded Software Engineer (C/C++) Embedded Software Engineer (C/C++) Flexible/Hybrid-working (1-2 days per week in Winchester) £60,000 to £70,000 per year Plus an excellent benefits and incentives package The Opportunity: After a number of exciting tender wins my client is looking to add an Embedded Software Engineer (C++) to their Product Development team. The ideal candidate will have a solid mathematical grounding, as well as the proven ability to develop algorithms to solve complex problems. You will join a dynamic tam with a culture of innovation in developing innovative camera and edge processing products and solutions. You will work with a dedicated group of Subject Matter Experts including talented Embedded Engineering, Artificial Intelligence Specialists and supporting Test and DevOps, as well as being involved from concept-to-manufacturing and beyond. This role would suit an individual with a background in ANPR, CCTV, Video Processing, computer vision or video encoders, who thrives on innovating new solutions and delivering a great product. Skills and Experience: 3+ years of work experience with Embedded Software Development in C and C++ (both are essential) Experienced with Yocto Project – to customize, build and maintain Linux Systems targeting Edge devices. Linux system programming Multithreaded programming Network Programming Python and Shell Scripting Highly Desirable Skills: Computer Security and Cryptography Real-time Image and Video-Processing on embedded platforms Leveraging Heterogeneous processing Architectures (e.g. CPU, GPU, FPGA, and VPU) on edge devices to accelerate proprietary Video Processing applications.
