Responsibilities
Vehicle Management is responsible for the development and support of solutions during the life cycle of the vehicle, including the acquisition, maintenance, and remarketing of the fleet. With almost $20 billion invested in over 2 million vehicles, you will play a critical role as an Engineer 2 Software in supporting and maintaining solutions that enable business leaders to drive out best in class solutions.
As an Engineer 2 - Software, you will be responsible for the administration of Azure subscriptions, developing prototypes, and performing complex application coding and programming. In this position, you will interpret end-user business requirements to develop and/or modify technical design specifications for off-the-shelf and/or custom-developed applications. In addition, you will perform unit and integration testing and assists with developing unit test scripts. As an Engineer 2 - Software you will provide instruction and guidance to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments.
***Although we strongly support a healthy work-life balance, this position will require a flexible work schedule. Many of our release and maintenance events occur in the evening and periodically on weekends.***
As an Engineer 2, Software for Vehicle Management, you will be responsible for debugging, patching, and improving the overall health and stability of applications in Vehicle Management. It is important for you to interpret end-user business needs to develop and/or modify technical design for off-the-shelf and/or custom-developed applications. In addition, the Engineer 2 - Software will perform unit and integration testing and develop unit test scripts. Additional responsibilities include and may not be limited to:

Contributing to the development of company objectives and principles to achieve goals in creative and effective ways
Assisting in the development of strategic planning for the department
Mentoring and providing technical guidance to less experienced software engineers
Following and implementing defined standards, processes and procedures for the department
Researching and seeking out emerging technologies that would be beneficial to the team

Qualifications
Required:
Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Must reside in the United States (does not include Alaska or Hawaii)
Must be able to work a schedule within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours.
Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
3+ years’ experience in software programming and development
Strong knowledge in PowerShell, ASP.NET MVC, Azure PaaS, ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework, and IIS
Strong knowledge in SQL Server and SSIS
Strong knowledge of C#, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Proficient knowledge of object-oriented application development principles, concepts, and object-oriented analysis and design
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO)
Knowledge of Web Services concepts and protocols (REST, SOAP, and JSON)
Front End development experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery, Angular, KnockOut
Working knowledge of API integration with 3rd party tools
Working knowledge of SQL
Experience with JAVA web applications
Working knowledge of .NET WCF Services
Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)
Exposure to Azure Stack or other cloud services
Exposure to Project Management concepts
