Required Position Full-Time Appointment Responsibilities Reporting to the Manager, ERP Development, the Enterprise Cloud Integration Specialist designs and implements cloud data integration solutions, collaborates on the University's SaaS platform, and drives technology development. The Enterprise Cloud Integration Specialist will customize software (including Self Service and CMS tools), conduct quality assurance, and maintain clean codebases with version control. Working closely with various teams, they plan projects, research new tools, and document architectures. Additional responsibilities include integrating third-party Application Programming Interface (API), ensuring bilingual system capabilities, and performing other duties to advance the university's web services and integration frameworks. Design and Implement Cloud Data Integration Solutions Develop and deploy cloud-based integration strategies to enhance connectivity across higher education systems. Support and optimize ERP environments for both administrative and faculty use. 2. SaaS Platform Development and Collaboration Contribute to the Ethos Integration platform in partnership with the Ethos Specialist. Ensure the SaaS platform serves as the foundation for all cloud data integration products. 3.Technology Research and Implementation Identify and implement new technologies or solutions through fit-gap analysis to drive IT transformation initiatives. Continuously research and recommend advancements in software packages and hardware products to enhance the university's web services and integration frameworks. 4. Collaboration and Project Planning Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to translate complex user requirements into actionable project designs and plans. Collaborate across different functional environments and with various user groups to ensure cohesive project execution. 5. Documentation and Knowledge Management Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architectures, integration points, and development procedures. Develop detailed procedure manuals to ensure clarity and continuity in system operations and development processes. Assist in ongoing maintenance and support of existing systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Duties Web and Application Development Develop, update, and maintain corporate and internal websites and web applications using technologies such as PHP, C#, MySQL, and JavaScript. Customize software in languages like Unibasic, HTML, JavaScript, .NET, and C# to create and modify ERP system components and web-based platforms. 2. Software Customization and Integration Tailor Self Service software and Content Management Systems (e.g., Drupal, SugarCRM) to meet bilingual requirements. Integrate third-party APIs and RESTful web services to extend system functionalities. 3. Quality Assurance and Testing Conduct detailed initial and regression testing of all developed code to ensure functionality and reliability. Coordinate extensive quality control tests to ensure systems exceed performance standards and meet user needs. 4. Codebase and Version Control Management Maintain a clean and efficient codebase through regular maintenance practices. Utilize repository management and version control tools (e.g., Team Foundation Server, GitHub) to ensure code integrity and support collaborative development. 5. Programming and Technical Development Engage in comprehensive programming activities, including front-end development using JavaScript frameworks (KnockoutJS, jQuery, jQuery UI) and front-end coding with Material-UI and node package manager (npm). Implement Object-Oriented design techniques to develop robust and scalable software solutions. 6. Database Management Work with database technologies such as MSSQL and MySQL to design, implement, and maintain databases. Handle data integration tasks involving XML and EDI within the UNIX operating system environment and; Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Honors undergraduate degree (4 years) in any of the following fields of study: Computing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines in the technology and engineering fields is required. A degree in a related area that offers substantial coursework in computing and information systems may also be considered. 2 to 4 years of prior relevant experience in web and cloud development. Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL. In-depth understanding of major cloud services and data integration tools. Proficiency in Visual Basic, C-sharp, JavaScript, and Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP). Ability to integrate third-party application programming interfaces and web services. Familiarity with GitHub and Team Foundation Server for managing codebases. Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Relevant certifications in cloud technologies, such as those offered by Microsoft or Amazon, are preferred. Ability to work fluently (verbal and written) in both official languages, French and English, is required. The official University hours of operation shall be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, during, and including, the months from September to April, and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m Monday through Friday during and including May to August., amounting to thirty-three and three-quarter (33.75) hours per week.
