FileMaker Pro Developer - Windows ( US Residents Only)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced FileMaker Pro Developer with strong expertise in Windows Server Administration and Azure Cloud Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining FileMaker applications, managing Windows-based servers, and configuring and maintaining cloud environments in Microsoft Azure. This role requires a unique combination of development skills in FileMaker and the ability to manage cloud and on-premise server environments effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
FileMaker Pro Development:
Design, develop, and maintain custom FileMaker Pro applications to support business needs.
Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions using FileMaker.
Integrate FileMaker solutions with other systems and services, including external APIs and databases.
Perform ongoing maintenance and optimizations of existing FileMaker databases, ensuring high performance and scalability.
Implement data security protocols within FileMaker to ensure data integrity and access control.
Troubleshoot and debug FileMaker scripts and workflows, resolving any issues that arise.
Generate custom reports and dashboards in FileMaker, based on business needs.
Provide user training and create documentation to ensure proper use and maintenance of FileMaker solutions.
Windows Server Administration:
Install, configure, and maintain Windows Servers to host FileMaker databases and other applications.
Manage Windows Server features such as Active Directory, IIS, DNS, SSL, and Group Policies.
Monitor and maintain server performance, ensuring high availability and security of applications and data.
Implement regular backups, perform system restores, and manage disaster recovery plans for FileMaker databases and related applications.
Install and configure FileMaker Server on Windows, ensuring proper configuration and performance.
Keep the Windows environment secure by applying patches, updates, and antivirus protections.
Automate server management tasks using PowerShell and other Windows administration tools.
Work closely with IT teams to ensure network stability, user access control, and secure data handling.
Azure Cloud Administration:
Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure for hosting FileMaker applications and other services.
Manage and monitor Azure resources such as Virtual Machines (VMs), Azure SQL Databases, Storage Accounts, and Virtual Networks.
Ensure proper scaling of Azure resources to optimize cost and performance, implementing Auto-scaling where applicable.
Secure cloud infrastructure using Azure Active Directory (AAD), Azure Security Center, and Network Security Groups.
Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies using Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and Azure Blob Storage.
Deploy and manage Azure Virtual Machines running Windows Server, ensuring connectivity and integration with on-premise systems.
Monitor and optimize cloud performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Automation.
Implement cloud automation and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or Terraform.
Required Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in FileMaker Pro development.
Proven experience managing and administering Windows Servers (e.g., Windows Server 2016, 2019).
Experience working with Microsoft Azure services (Azure VMs, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, etc.).
Proficient in FileMaker scripting, database design, and relational database management.
Strong understanding of Windows Server roles and services such as IIS, DNS, and Active Directory.
Ability to deploy and manage FileMaker Server on Windows platforms.
Experience with Azure administration and cloud management tools.
Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and server management tasks.
Familiarity with security best practices in both Windows Server and Azure environments.
Preferred Skills:
FileMaker Certification (preferred but not mandatory).
Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines in Azure.
Knowledge of SQL and experience working with Azure SQL Database or SQL Server.
Experience with networking concepts in a hybrid cloud environment, including VPNs, subnets, and firewalls.
Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies for both on-premise and cloud-hosted environments.
Experience with Azure DevOps for managing code and infrastructure changes.
Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for integrating FileMaker solutions with web applications.
Understanding of Azure security compliance standards like GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $51,970.00 - $65,807.00 per year
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
