Blinkist connects people with powerful ideas from leading authors and experts to broaden perspectives, gain knowledge, and spark understanding in all areas of their life, both personal and professional.
Used by over 28 million people worldwide, Blinkist distills the key ideas from the most relevant, impactful books and podcasts. These can be read or listened to in 15-minute summaries, that we call Blinks.
Together with Go1, our parent brand, who gives organizations and their employees access to the largest curated e-learning library on the planet, we’re on a mission to reach one billion learners as we unlock positive potential through a love of learning.
About the Role
Blinkist is a significant business unit of Go1 after its acquisition by Go1 in 2023. Together Blinkist and Go1 are working toward our shared goal of being the destination for lifelong learning. As we do this, we’re focusing on efficient B2C growth to bring more learners to our product.
Operationally, the Blinkist business is decoupled from Go1’s operational business, and therefore, we are looking for a Finance leader for the Blinkist business. Reporting to the Co-Founder of Blinkist and with dual reporting lines into the Go1 CFO to ensure connectivity, the Finance Director will be an integral part of the Blinkist Leadership Team.
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented senior Finance leader to join us forthis exciting period of our growth. The role will be based in Berlin, Germany, where Blinkist is headquartered. The role will lead a strong Finance team of 5 – running the accounting, finance operations, financial planning and analysis processes and will work closely with the Go1 group accounting and finance team.
While we’re remote-friendly, we like to work together in the office frequently and will prioritize candidates who’re based in Berlin and willing to work from our office 1-3 days a week.
