Circadence has spent more than a decade working with the Joint Information Operations Range (JIOR) and Joint Mission Environment Test Capability (JMETC) Multiple Independent Levels of Security (MILS) Network (JMN), building cyber ranges and participating in cyber T&E, exercises, and training events. JMN is part of the National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC). Research and development programs focus on tools and services to enhance cyber operations.
Job Description:
The Frontend Developer will contribute to the development of an innovative, cloud-hosted educational technology platform focused on immersive cybersecurity training. This role combines technical expertise with hands-on development, requiring strong foundational engineering skills and enthusiasm for creating scalable, user-centric software solutions. The position is remote and requires a collaborative approach to implementing an immersive cyber education experience. The Frontend Developer will work closely with engineering and UX design teams, contributing to product implementation and user experience design.
This role is for an emerging technical professional who will actively participate in development efforts and is looking to grow within a supportive team environment. Their primary responsibility is to develop and maintain high-quality, responsive web interfaces that support our educational technology platform while following team best practices and contributing to continuous improvement.
Required Skills/Experience:
Technical Contributions:
Actively develop frontend components using React and JavaScript
Learn and apply best practices in software development
Build foundational expertise in the product technical stack
Collaborate with senior team members to expand technical knowledge
Web Application Development:
Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces
Implement design specifications from UX team
Contribute to 'proof-of-concept' capabilities and feature iterations

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Recent graduate or early-career professional preferred
Experience:
0-2 years of professional software development experience
Demonstrated project work in frontend development
Experience with collaborative development environments
Enthusiasm for learning and growing as a software engineer
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in JavaScript and React
Familiarity with Python
Experience with HTML5 and CSS3
Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
Understanding of responsive design principles

About Our Platform: Our educational technology platform is an innovative digital learning environment designed to provide practical, hands-on technical cybersecurity training. We offer an immersive and interactive curriculum that bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world skill application, with a special focus on cybersecurity and technical education.
Compensation: $80,000-$90,000
