Company Overview Our publishing and e-commerce business is expanding rapidly, and we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Web Developer to join our team. This role is critical in scaling our digital infrastructure as we grow. You will play a key role in designing and implementing a flexible framework that can support multiple sites, allowing for efficient content management, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making. You will work alongside our junior developer to ensure smooth operations across our digital platforms. Key Responsibilities Research & Development Identify and recommend frameworks that best support scalable growth for multiple e-commerce and publishing websites. Provide insights into the latest trends in web development technologies. Framework Development: Build and optimize the framework that allows for the efficient bulk uploading of content, page templates, and custom business intelligence to track sales and analytics. Custom Business Intelligence & Reporting: Develop systems for collecting and analyzing data on sales performance, customer behavior, and web traffic. Create automated dashboards and reports for data-driven decision-making. Collaboration Work closely with the junior developer to guide the development process, ensure adherence to best practices, and support their growth. Platform Scaling Design robust, scalable systems that can handle increased traffic, data, and transactions as the business grows. Integrations & Automation Implement third-party integrations such as payment gateways, content management systems, and reporting tools. Automate repetitive tasks to optimize workflow efficiency. Security & Performance Ensure that all systems are secure, scalable, and optimized for high performance across all platforms. Future-Proofing: Develop a reusable blueprint for future brands, ensuring the framework is adaptable for different business models. Requirements: Proven Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Web Developer, with a proven track record in software development for established businesses, particularly in the e-commerce or publishing sectors. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of modern frameworks and technologies including: Front-End: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (React, Vue.js, or Angular), responsive design. Back-End: Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails, or PHP. Familiarity with server management, APIs, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.). Database Management: SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB, Firebase). Version Control: Git and experience working in a CI/CD pipeline. Business Intelligence & Analytics: Experience with Google Analytics, custom reporting, data visualization tools, and business intelligence software. Content Management Systems (CMS): Experience with platforms like WordPress, Magento, or custom CMS development for bulk content upload. Problem-Solving Ability: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to create efficient, scalable solutions. Leadership & Collaboration: Experience leading development projects, collaborating with junior developers, and providing technical mentorship. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with E-commerce Platforms: Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or custom e-commerce solutions. Experience with Data Engineering: Developing and managing ETL processes for data pipelines, designing data warehouses for reporting and analytics. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
