We are a growing company looking for a highly skilled and motivated Full-Stack Developer to join our team and help us build and scale our platform.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Full-Stack Developer who will take the lead on developing, maintaining, and enhancing SoldHistory.ca. You will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development, ensuring the website is user-friendly, responsive, and scalable as it continues to grow. The ideal candidate will have a passion for real estate tech and a desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop & Maintain Website: Build and manage the core platform, ensuring smooth performance, data integration, and a seamless user experience.
- Front-End Development: Create responsive, intuitive, and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces using modern front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (React/Angular/Vue.js).
- Back-End Development: Design and implement server-side applications, database management, and API integrations using back-end technologies like Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails, etc.
- Database Management: Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) to efficiently store, retrieve, and display real estate data. Ensure data integrity and optimize query performance.
- API Integration: Integrate third-party APIs (e.g., MLS, real estate data providers) to ensure up-to-date sold price listings and market trends.
- Testing & Debugging: Conduct testing and debugging to optimize performance across all devices and browsers.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing team to ensure the platform aligns with user needs and business goals.
- Scalability & Security: Implement best practices to ensure that the platform can scale efficiently and maintain a high level of security for user data.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on new web technologies and best practices, recommending and implementing enhancements to improve the platform.
Qualifications:
- Proven Experience: 3+ years of full-stack development experience, preferably in a real estate or data-heavy environment.
- Front-End Technologies: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
- Back-End Technologies: Experience with server-side languages (Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails, etc.) and database management (SQL/NoSQL).
- API Integration: Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Version Control: Experience using Git or other version control systems.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize website performance.
- Data Experience: Familiarity with real estate data and a passion for building data-driven applications is a plus.
- Excellent Communication: Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Nice to Have:
Experience with real estate platforms or data integration from MLS systems.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) for scalable hosting solutions.
Knowledge of SEO best practices and performance optimization for fast page load times.
