As a Full-stack Developer, you will: Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Microsoft.NET and Azure to modernize city systems and improve citizen services Integrate and enhance enterprise systems such as the City’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Revenue and Asset Management Systems Transform digital processes with a focus on automation and reuse Stay up to date with current trends and technologies, keeping the City at the forefront of innovation Drive adoption of the Microsoft Power Platform, establishing standards and best practices to ensure scalable, maintainable solutions across departments Work in an Agile team to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions that align with the City’s strategic goals for operational efficiency and innovation This role is part of our internal classification of Business Systems Analysts who researches, analyzes, recommends, develops, implements and supports software and information systems solutions in support of the City’s business requirements. Duties - Union Provides project management in the implementation of new/upgraded systems and infrastructure. Liaises with all levels of staff to understand business requirements; performs analysis, defines and documents requirements and recommends cost-effective systems and solutions. Conducts functional and fit analysis of third party software to City requirements. Serves as a functional expert resource to users, applying technical and product knowledge to support users. Designs, modifies and/or adds functionality to third party application systems to meet user requirements. Plans and implements new release upgrades/patches to third party software. Liaises with third party software suppliers, consultants, contractors and other entities. Designs, develops and implements complex computer applications. Performs data design, data modeling, SQL programming and tuning. Manages automated alerts, emails and reports reflecting state of database and applications. Provides direction, instruction, guidance and training to end-users on internal and third party software and applications. Develops data validation and audit controls, and automates where suitable. Manages access and security to software and databases. Continually upgrades skill and knowledge levels with leading edge technologies and programs. Integrates third party data applications into corporate model. Results and Activities - Non union Credentials - Union Bachelor of Computer Science degree Experience 5+ years’ experience with .NET and Azure Proven cloud expertise in Azure and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Extensive experience with the Power Platform, with a focus on setting best practices, governance, and scalable solutions Familiarity with microservices and modular architecture to support integrated solutions across business functions Strong understanding of IoT, RPA, and automation frameworks to support modern, data-driven solutions Ability to identify business and technology goals and objectives of a project, understand business processes, and elicit and recognize business problems to be solved Proactive and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Strong understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices for streamlined solution delivery.
