WHAT WE'RE DOING
C4ISR IRAD team is development the next generation of Battle Management Command and Control SW for our international and domestic customers. In 2025, the SW solutions will be modernized onto a web-based platform with exquisite and flexible user interface design.
THE WORK
You will be responsible for supporting the design and development high-quality BMC2 user interfaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional enhancing user experience and operational effectiveness. You will develop and maintain comprehensive design systems and reusable component libraries to ensure consistency across projects. You'll be part of a team building, testing, and maintaining robust front-end code using Angular to create dynamic and responsive web applications. You will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, best practices, and design technologies to improve the overall user experience. You'll be working closely with back-end developers to ensure seamless integration of APIs and server-side functionality into the UI. Day to day you will conduct testing and troubleshooting of UI elements to ensure optimal user experience. You will work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand project objectives and requirements. Your work will optimize application for maximum speed and scalability. You'll be expected to use version control systems (Git) to manage codebase, debug and fix any reported issues or bugs. It will be expected that you will maintain code quality and ensure codebase is well-documented for future reference.

We are looking for someone with experience and a passion of UI/UX design. We want to leverage your experience with front end technologies and satisfying user requirements to design creative solutions that address user pain points.

Basic Qualifications
Knowledge of Angular or front end technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript)
Experience translating user feedback into software solutions
Software testing experience
Ability to work across multi-discipline teams and communicate technical topics to non-technical team members
must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance
Desired skills
Experience in UI/UX design
Extensive experience with the latest version of Angular and front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript
Ability to design creative solutions that address user pain points
Strong understanding of typography, color and theory, layout principles, and the use of white space to create, clean cohesive design
Experience with usability testing, A/B testing, and gathering qualitative and quantitative feedback to iterate on designs
A meticulous eye for detail, ensuring that all designs are pixel-perfect and align with branding standards
Experience working on C2 or Battle Management systems

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $70,500 - $135,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $81,000 - $152,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
