Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement features and debug issues across platforms. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Python, Rust, and C/C++. Work on mobile development projects to create seamless gaming experiences across devices. Contribute to web development efforts using TypeScript and JavaScript to enhance game-related web platforms. Follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles to ensure robust and reliable code. Use Kanban or Agile methodologies to manage workflows, track progress, and meet deadlines effectively. Research and integrate new technologies to improve engine performance and game development pipelines. Document processes, codebases, and development workflows to ensure clarity and continuity. --- Required Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in Python, Rust, and C/C++ with a strong portfolio of past projects. Experience with mobile development, including optimization for portable gaming devices. Solid understanding of web development using TypeScript and JavaScript. Familiarity with game engines like Unity, Unreal, or custom-built engines. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, particularly in performance-critical environments. Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and writing automated tests. Knowledge and practical experience with Kanban or Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum). Education: A Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Candidates currently enrolled in a Master’s or Ph.D. program with relevant experience will also be considered. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. --- Preferred Qualifications Experience developing or optimizing games for the Steam Deck or similar platforms. Knowledge of Vulkan, OpenGL, or DirectX APIs. Understanding of Linux-based operating systems and gaming environments.
