Role: GCP Cloud engineer Location: Canada (Remote) Job Description: · 5+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) · 5+ years of experience with Cloud Managed Development/Services such as Google Cloud Storage · 5+ years of experience in using Infrastructure as Code tooling like Terraform · 5+ years of experience with development languages (Go, Python, etc.). · 5+ years of experience with container-based technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). · 5+ years of experience in the use of CI/CD Tools · In-depth understanding of different database technologies (e.g ., CloudSQL, NoSQL, Relational databases) · Comprehensive understanding of software development lifecycle and release process (container-native workflow for job orchestration, Git/GitOps, CI/CD, environments, code repositories) · 5+ years of experience with config management tools and Scripting Languages (Ansible, Bash, Groovy) · Excellent oral and written communication skills · Experience in Managing team and good interpersonal skills for working with cross cutting teams. · Google Cloud Architect certification will be a strong asset. Must Have: GCP Cloud Engineer Experience: 8+ years in platform engineering or DevOps roles with a strong focus on Python, Kubernetes, and Docker. Technical Skills: Python (Expert): Advanced skills in scripting, automation, and integration with platform tools. Kubernetes (Expert): Deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, deployment, and orchestration in cloud-native environments. Docker: Proficient in containerization, Dockerfile optimization, and multi-stage builds. CI/CD Tools: Strong experience with Jenkins and BitBucket for automated builds and deployments. Storage Solutions: Working knowledge of MinIO and Longhorn for data persistence and redundancy. Soft Skills: Problem-solving, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset.
