Grant Development Manager (Remote)
The Grant Development Manager will oversee the creation and implementation of VAA's Grant Assistance program. This program offers grant assistance to our private and public clients for pursuing and applying for both Federal and State grant programs primarily for Port & River and/or Rail projects. The Grant Development Manager will manage or consult with a team of grant writers/project coordinators who assemble grant applications and fulfill grant management services post-award.
Your role:
Research various types of grants available and the criteria to qualify for each.
Serve as a Business Developer in promoting grant assistance to our clients, attend professional societies, tradeshows, and seminars and further develop knowledge and network in the maritime/rail industry.
Act as project manager for grant assistance projects with our clients serving multiple clients throughout the year.
Facilitate direct meetings with clients' project teams to assemble all required information that is needed to create the storyline for the grant application.
Develop relationships with the administration team of key Federal grant programs to leverage further understanding and tact for the grant applications. Correspond, engage, develop, and maintain key relationships with grant funders.
With assistance from grant writers, drafts and completes grant applications according to application requirements.
Coordinates the monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects that are funded by grants.
Your resume must include:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
5 years of experience with federal grants and demonstrated experience ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
Proven record of securing grants from federal and/or state government programs.
Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal funding sources and the ability to locate potential sources for funding.
