We are currently looking for a Level 1 Help Desk Support Technician to join our team in Southport, Manitoba! This person will join a team of dedicated professionals involved in the administrative support functioning and client support.
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Level 1 Help Desk Support Technician reports to the IT Lead and works as part of KF Aerospace Help Desk Team that provides Tier 1 support to end users in the CFTS Program for all Microsoft 365 workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and network infrastructure related issues.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide Tier 1 desktop support for all Windows, addressing hardware and software issues.
Deliver outstanding technical support to users both on-site and remotely, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests based on priority and urgency.
Conduct onboarding and offboarding process, including workstation setup, Active Directory account creation, access permissions, and workspace configuration.
Analyze, diagnose, and resolve issues with company mobile devices, laptops, and
desktops related to hardware, software, and file/print services in windows.
Maintain an inventory of all IT assets in the inventory in service desk & Active Directory
Provide support for Microsoft 365 products, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and others.
Be present in the Help Desk and available to end users requiring technical assistance.
Create and maintain clear technical documentation.
Other duties as assigned by the department management team.
REQUIREMENTS:
Technical computer certificate and /or minimum 2-year relevant experience with IT Training with certificate
Working knowledge of common operating systems and software applications
Software systems- Active Directory, Windows /10/11, Office 365 /Suite, Adobe suite, and various 3rd party and in house applications
Hardware systems -Network hubs, switches, Printers, cabling and wireless gear
Exceptional communication skills
Good problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills and team player
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs. on occasion
Ability to obtain and maintain a public works and government service enhanced reliability clearance
