We are looking for an HR Trainee to join our team for a six-mont position! This Trainee position is designed for international future professionals eager to learn Finnish during their employment. You are studying for a relevant higher education degree (e.g., at the Master's level or a higher vocational degree) and are either nearing the completion of your studies or have graduated within the past year. As English will be the primary working language, fluency in both oral and written English is essential. Fluency in Finnish is not required, but basic knowledge of the language is beneficial.
The first interview round will be carried out as video interviews at week 45, after which we will invite applicants to personal interviews at week 48.
Helsinki Trainee, HR, Education Division
As an HR Trainee, you will be working in the HR services of the Education Division which oversees strategic personnel planning, recruitment, and HR reporting of the division. Our team is also responsible for international recruitment of education professionals and the development of recruitment strategies for individuals whose first language is not Finnish or Swedish.
In this role, you will be working with various tasks, including:
- Planning, evaluating, developing and coordinating the implementation of our international recruitment projects aiming towards excellent candidate experience.
- Identifying better ways to attract education professionals already residing in Finland, to boost their interest in employment within the City of Helsinki. You will, for example, build connections with other European public sector employers to learn about their best practices in international recruitment and recruitment of foreign-language speaking professionals.
- Working in collaboration with educational institutions and NGO's to reach out to people interested in working in the field of education.
- Organising and participating in recruitment events.
Additionally, your tasks may include:
- Proofreading English documents and verifying numerical data.
- Creating presentations, recruitment reports and writing documents in English.
- Contributing to the enhancement of our team's onboarding content and practices.
