We are building a platform for supercomputer federation which once completed will be integrated with at least 12 supercomputers across as many countries in Europe, with thousands of users: EuroHPC Federation Platform

The main features are:

• Providing a single federated identity across all supercomputers for each user

• Providing uniform access to all federated supercomputers

• Providing advanced features like workflows and interactive usage across all federated supercomputers

• Providing resource and allocations management across the federation targets 

As a part of the federation platform, CSC is developing a federated HPC webinterface (based on Open OnDemand) to provide graphical web based access to all integrated machines. CSC is seeking a HPC Webinterface developer to join our web interface team which is maintaining HPC webinterfaces across three separate supercomputers. 

Your main responsibilities include:

• Directly developing the federated HPC Webinterface. This includes backend work to enable federation, HPC site specific integration work and creation of new webinterface applications for end-users.

• Contributing to the development of an HPC API to integrate the web-interface to the HPC systems.

• Day to day administration of the webinterface in close collaboration with the EFP platform administrator.

What we expect:

• Fluent written and oral communication skills in English.

• Good programming skills, previous experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails is a plus

• Good understanding of container technologies like docker and podman.

• Strong Linux skills, experience with large, shared Unix environment and HPC environments is a plus.

• Experience with configuring and maintaining a Linux web server, knowledge of high availability (HA) setup is a plus

• Experience with working on large code bases

• Basic understanding of front-end web-development

• Previous experience with service development and delivering live services

• Good team working skills
