Job Title: Human Resources Analyst
Job Description
Administer all aspects of employee pension and 401(k) in accordance with company policy and/or state, federal or local laws for U.S. employees, while providing instruction, guidance, and excellent customer service to employees, managers, and human resources professionals. This role will support Canada as needed for English-speaking employees and additionally supports other benefit areas as needed.
Responsibilities
Support US, Puerto Rico, and Canada Retirement Plan Administration.
Work directly with 3rd party administrators on all issues related to 401(k) and Pension.
Weekly funding of U.S. 401(k) and Canada Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP).
Conduct weekly and quarterly audits of 401(k), RRSP, and pension vendor files.
Handle monthly payout of 8% Supplemental Retirement Contribution benefit.
Manage semi-annual Supplemental Retirement Contribution (SRC) process for U.S.
Oversee annual Core Retirement Contribution (CRC) process for U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada benefits.
Act as primary contact for planning and administration of legally required communications and all communications associated with special payment processes (SRC, CRC, etc.).
Monitor and respond to ServiceNow tickets within the service level agreement.
Monitor and respond to 3rd party administrator tickets timely and effectively.
Handle invoice billing.
Run monthly queries to create and complete self-bill invoices for U.S. and Canada disability and life insurances.
Pay monthly bills received from benefit vendors.
Assist 3rd party administrators.
Serve as subject matter expert on pension and 401(k)/RRSP for participants, managers, HR consultants, Total Rewards, Finance, and Payroll.
Assist with internal/external auditor and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and 5500 requests and proactively ensure data integrity.
Participate in various work teams examining the enhancement of programs, procedures, policies, processes, workflows, and automation related to benefits.
Provide ongoing support to former employees/retirees by answering simple to complex questions related to pension and 401(k).
Essential Skills
Human resources and benefits administration experience.
1+ year of working knowledge within 401(k), benefits, pension, or related areas.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Customer-oriented.
Self-initiative.
Excellent computer skills, especially in Excel and data analytics tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in the food manufacturing industry would be a big plus.
Experience in a larger company with retirement benefits would be beneficial.
Work Environment
This role operates in a food manufacturing facility that is very comfortable and clean. The work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. On Mondays and Fridays, you will work remotely, while on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, you will be onsite as needed. The dress code is business casual.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00
