Job Description
Willowbrae Academy is seeking a skilled Intermediate Programmer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in programming languages and software development principles, along with the ability to contribute to various projects and collaborate effectively with team members. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative solutions and enhance your technical skills in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Work with development teams and product managers to create software solutions
Design client-side and server-side architecture
Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
Develop and manage our well-functioning databases and applications
Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
Create security tokens and data protection schemes
Write technical documentation
Mentor and assist Junior Programmers
Develop, test, and maintain software applications in accordance with project requirements and specifications.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Assist in the design and implementation of new features and enhancements.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Qualification (Requirements and Skills)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Minimum 4 years of experience in software development or programming
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript)
Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks) is a plus.
Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling
Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Experience developing desktop and mobile applications
Familiarity with common stacks
Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (.NET Web forms, .NET Core, DevExpress)
Knowledge of the Windows IIS and Linux Operating System (Ubuntu)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Organizational and analytical skills
REST API creation & management
Preferred Skills:
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., Amazon Web Skills, Azure) is a plus.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
