At DataMonkey, we develop cutting-edge AI Agents for geospatial data, powered by LLMs that understand relationships in the physical world. We train our proprietary LLMs on some of the fastest NVIDIA supercomputers in the world. As an intern in AI engineering, you will work closely with our team to create scalable code, build MLOps processes, enhance data, and train and improve our models.

Tasks

• Innovate and Evaluate: Develop and fine-tune LLMs for increased performance and accuracy. Adapt experiments and hyperparameter configurations to ensure they are production-ready. Leverage appropriate tools such as evaluations, PyTorch, and W&B.
• Optimize and Scale: Implement scalable code and pipelines optimized for HPC, using frameworks such as SLURM and containerized technologies.
• Learn and Lead: Stay ahead of the curve by engaging with the latest developments in machine learning and AI.

Requirements

• You will thrive in this role if you have/working on a Master's/ PhD degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field. OR equivalent proficiency level of hands-on experience.
• Have strong software engineering skills and are proficient in Python. Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Are familiar with methods of training and fine-tuning large language models, such as supervised fine-tuning and have demonstrated experience in deep learning and transformers models, including proficiency in frameworks like PyTorch and tooling as Weights & Biases
• Knowledge of HPC processes including scheduling, data transfer, monitoring and tooling as SLURM and Kubernetes
• Enjoy owning the problems end-to-end, and are willing to pick up whatever knowledge you're missing to get the job done. You have a research mindset and refuse to give up.
• Ideally you’re ready to start on 1st of January, 2025
