Key Responsibilities As our Remote IT Support Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless IT operations across all our engineering and project management workflows. Your primary focus will be on supporting specialized engineering software, optimizing cloud collaboration, and enhancing cybersecurity. IT Support & Troubleshooting for Engineering Teams Provide remote support for AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, BIM 360, and other engineering software. Troubleshoot performance issues with engineering workstations and high-performance computing (HPC) environments. Assist with VPN, remote desktop, and cloud-based storage issues for engineers working on-site and in the field. Resolve software licensing and compatibility issues to ensure uninterrupted project workflows. Cloud & Network Infrastructure Support Manage and maintain cloud-based collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Teams. Monitor and troubleshoot connectivity issues with cloud-hosted project management systems. Assist in setting up and managing secure AWS/Azure cloud services for internal applications. Ensure remote access security for employees working from multiple locations. Cybersecurity & Data Protection Implement multi-factor authentication, encryption, and access control policies to protect our data. Perform regular security audits and threat assessments to safeguard company infrastructure. Provide training on cybersecurity best practices to employees handling confidential project files. Work with IT leadership to develop disaster recovery plans and backup strategies. Hardware & Software Management Assist in procurement, setup, and remote deployment of IT hardware for new employees. Manage software updates, patches, and system optimizations to prevent downtime. Support IT inventory tracking, ensuring all licenses and assets are accounted for. IT Automation & Process Improvement Identify opportunities to automate repetitive IT tasks using PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting tools. Improve IT response times by implementing self-service troubleshooting guides and knowledge bases. Recommend upgrades and innovations that align with MapleCraft Engineers' digital transformation goals. Required Qualifications Experience: 1+ years in IT support, systems administration, or technical support (preferably in an engineering or construction environment). Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, networking, and remote troubleshooting tools. Engineering Software Support: Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, and project collaboration platforms is a plus. Cloud & Security: Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), VPN configurations, and security best practices. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues with minimal supervision.
