An overview of your future role at BBA
You'll report to the Operational Solutions team leader and play an important role in maintaining and providing support for specialized software (e.g., AutoCAD, SmartPlant, ANSYS) and related hardware. Responsible for system maintenance and performance monitoring, you'll ensure these systems are optimized and keep pace with the firm's growth. You'll need your soft skills and initiative to deliver a positive client experience.
An overview of your mandates and responsibilities
Assist clients and their partners in using specialized software by answering their questions and enhancing their overall experience.
Provide high-quality technical support during failures or anomalies, troubleshooting complex incidents related to software, hardware and cybersecurity.
Manage inventories and coordinate repairs, replacements and service follow-ups with suppliers.
Prepare, install, configure and update workstations and specialized applications to ensure they're available and run smoothly.
Analyze system capacity and performance to maintain optimal performance levels.
Help manage specialized software licences and their various types to ensure compliance and optimize costs.
Document and maintain clear and precise procedures and create guides to resolve recurring issues.
Work with IT teams to escalate and resolve complex incidents and contribute to ongoing IT projects.
Continuously improve methodologies and practices based on operational needs.
Overview of job requirements
At least five years of experience in a similar position
College diploma in computer science or equivalent training
Ability to adapt communications for both technical and non-technical audiences
Bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written
Available to work outside the regular office hours
Cloud virtualization and Citrix : experience with virtualization environments (DaaS, VDI) in cloud settings (Azure) and Citrix for centralized and simplified application management
Application deployment and management: skills in creating and deploying automated packages and installing and configuring systems
Workstation management: proficient with workstation management solutions (Autopilot, SCCM, MDM, NinjaOne, Intune) and familiar with Windows operating systems (10 and 11)
Engineering software knowledge (e.g., Autodesk suite) and configurations (RAM, CPU, GPU) needed for optimal cloud performance
Scripting and automation: proficient with PowerShell and commands for task automation
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications
Asset: knowledge of Agile methodology and experience using DevOps for task management
Asset: experience with AWS
