Position: Java Backend Developer
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 12-24 month contract

Responsibilities:

Mostly production support work but will be some developer work

Able to work with guidance on software development/solutions.
With guidance, conduct analysis and development, elicit requirements, write correct and clean coding, automated testing, debugging, documentation, quality assurance review, implementation and maintenance.
Able to work with guidance on multiple layers of the solution if needed.
Participates in technical design of features.

Qualifications:
4-6 years work experience or equivalent experience.
Basic knowledge of insurance and financial services products preferred.
Basic planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills required.
Proficiency with database applications, knowledge of mainframe, distributed and/or web programming language.
Excellent time management skills preferred.
Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
Must have the desire to learn new technology and continuously grow.
Ability to work on cross-functional teams and collaborate with both It and non-IT partners.
Must have Skill:
Java
DB2 (and proficient in SQL)
Ability to debug production issue by looking at the data, log files, etc.
Good communication skills
Great teamwork as we do pair programming and mobbing a lot.
(plus) AWS experience e.g. Lambda, API gateway, Secret Manager, CDK
(plus) Previous experience in Principal
