Junior Developer in the Software Product Development, Summer job

We are looking for a summer trainee to join our Gaming Software Product Development teams. Your final assignment could be in the Draw Games team or one of our ~20 other frontend and backend teams, where we will match your skills with the best assignment. The exact timing of the internship will be arranged with the selected candidate, for example, between May 15 and August 15, 2025. 

Your assignments could be something like this:

• Assist in the development and maintenance of software products
• Support the team in various tasks related to software development
• Contribute in tools development
• Contribute to tools analysis, e.g., evaluating the benefits of large language models in different phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
• Contribute in information security analysis and tooling evaluations in different phases on Software Development Lifecycle
• Prototyping assignments

Example technologies you could work with: Java, Kotlin, Go, Typescript, PostgreSQL, Redis, SpringBoot, React, Nginx, Kubernetes, Terraform, Grafana, GitLab, - Google Cloud Platform (GCP), GCP Bigquery, GCP Cloud Run, GCP Pub/Sub, and Linux

We are primarily seeking candidates with a university-level educational background. However, applicants with lower formal education levels are also welcome to apply, provided they demonstrate a strong passion for programming through personal projects or other relevant experience.

Required skills:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in computer science or a related field
• Programming
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles
• Good communication skills in English
• Good teamworking skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Good grades in software engineering and other relevant courses

Knowledge of Java programming languages is a plus. Some existing familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud technologies would also be advantageous.
