Junior QA Engineer - (€34k - €38k)

Dublin, Ireland

Looking for a motivated and hardworking junior to join a well-known company. You should perform tests to ensure that the program functions properly, to identify any errors and to investigate customer complaints and any other operational issues

Roles and responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases to validate functional and non-functional aspects.
• Analyse requirements and review acceptance criteria to create well defined tests that are traceable back to requirements.
• Execution of functional, E2E, exploratory, regression and integration tests.
• Participate in defect triage discussions and track bugs through to resolution working closely with developers.
• Contribute to management reporting and test metrics.
• Work closely with our external automation partner.
• Complete ownership of UAT process to sign off on quality of deliverables.
• Stay up to date with new testing methodologies and tools.
  

What will put you ahead of other potential candidates:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in software quality assurance, with hands on expertise in automation tools.
• Solid understanding of development lifecycles, testing methodologies and QA processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Proven experience in API testing with tools such as Postman.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools for code, GUI and APIs such as Selenium, Python, Postman, Tosca.
• Technical skills - SQL, Agile preferential.
• Non-functional testing experience advantageous.

Highly Desirables:

• Fluency in English, other European languages a plus.
• Start-up mindset- comfortable working in a highly dynamic environment.
• Effective collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills.
• ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
