Position OverviewClone Corp is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our engineering team. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and scaling the backend infrastructure of our platform. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, including Go, GCP, Kubernetes, Postgres, and GraphQL, to build a robust and scalable platform that powers the Clone Corp mission.
What You’ll Do
Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that support Clone Corp platform using Go
Distributed Architecture: Contribute to the design and development of architecture, ensuring scalability and reliability
Data Modeling: Design and implement data models and database schemas, with a focus on Postgres
GCP Services: Utilize Google Cloud Platform services to build and deploy scalable and resilient infrastructure
Containerization: Manage and deploy applications using Kubernetes for container orchestration
Event-Driven Architecture: Implement event-driven systems using Redis pubsub and other technologies for real-time data processing
Performance Optimization: Identify and optimize bottlenecks to ensure high system performance and responsiveness
Security: Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend engineers, product managers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality features
Code Reviews: Conduct and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for system architecture, APIs, and best practices
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Proven experience as a backend engineer, with a strong background in Go
Proficiency in designing and developing microservices architecture
Experience with cloud providers and Kubernetes
Familiarity with Kafka for event-driven systems
Solid understanding of database design, with expertise in Postgres
Knowledge of GraphQL is a plus
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
