About the Role We’re looking for a Lead Product Engineer to bring our vision to life and shape the next chapter of real estate technology. You’ll take the lead on building a new platform from scratch, setting the technical direction, and driving product development. This role is a mix of leadership and hands-on engineering. You'll collaborate closely with the CTO to align business and technical goals, while also mentoring a talented team of developers. Your work will directly impact how real estate professionals operate and help us deliver a product that sets new industry standards. Responsibilities Lead our tech vision, ensuring alignment with our business goals. Write and review clear, effective code, primarily in Ruby on Rails. Oversee the development, scaling, and maintenance of modern Rails applications. Translate our product roadmap into actionable milestones and deliverables. Collaborate closely with the CTO to align business and technical priorities. Mentor and coach the engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration and execution. Key Qualifications Based in the US (East Coast). Fluent in English with excellent communication skills. At least 8 years in tech leadership roles, with a strong focus on Ruby on Rails. A proven track record of building and maintaining modern Rails apps. A keen eye for superior UI/UX, ensuring the product is intuitive and visually compelling. A product-driven mindset, always prioritizing the needs and preferences of end users. A genuine interest in engaging with customers directly to understand pain points and gather feedback. Extensive expertise with developer tools like Git, GitHub, Postgres, Redis, Bash, and Docker. Experience leading product development at startups or in fast-paced environments. Expertise in API design and best practices. Strong ability to work with remote teams and coordinate across time zones. Bonus: Experience with LLMs/AI.
